SPAIN WORLD CHAMPIONS: A HISTORIC SUCCESS THAT STARTED IN MFC
The Spanish Women’s National Team was proclaimed World Champion yesterday, Sunday 20th August 2023, in a date for the history of sport and Spanish football. At the Sydney Football Stadium in Australia, Spain beat England by a goal to nil, scored by Olga Carmona, in a match that the national team handled with exquisite quality and temperance.
The road to this historic milestone for Spanish football began on 19 June at Meliá Villaitana Football Center, MFC’s centre in Benidorm, where the Spanish national team held its first training camp on the road to the championships held in New Zealand and Australia. The training camp, which lasted until 22 June, laid the foundations for the national team’s success thanks to MFC’s DNA: privacy, exclusivity, professionalism, top-level facilities and grass in excellent condition.
In the words of the captain of the national team Ivana Andrés, who lifted the champions trophy yesterday, the concentration at Melia Villaitana Football Center was marked by a grass in perfect conditions, rooms at the foot of the pitch and an absolute comfort that undoubtedly helped in the preparatory path of the Spanish national team.
From Marbella Football Center we are very proud to have contributed with our small grain of sand to this historic success of Spanish football.
Congratulations to our players and to the Royal Spanish Football Federation for this achievement!
With this new success, MFC reinforces its leading position at European and world level as one of the great elite centres in the world of professional football for the preparation of pre-seasons and training camps for top level commitments.
