Memories: Michael Laudrup at MFC

Today we remember the visit of the best Danish player of all time: Michael Laudrup. A true talent, only comparable with his elegance on and off the pitch.

The manager began his career in his country at Brondby IF in 2002. Since then he has coached teams from Denmark, Spain, Russia, England and Qatar. It was precisely with a team from the Asian country that he visited the facilities of Marbella Football Center, with Al Duhail SC. He stated the following when we asked him:

“It has been a very good day for everyone. We have trained well in a splendid sports city with lawn in very good condition. The hotel has also been good, especially my room. ”

His track record as manager includes: 1 league cup with Swansea FC, 1 league and 2 cups with Brondby IF and 1 league and 1 cup in Qatar with Al Duhail SC.

As a player he played in the world’s biggest clubs: Ajax, Juventus, Barça and Real Madrid. During the 90’s he was one of the best in the world, achieving countless titles, both individual and collective:

  • 5 Spanish leagues (4 with Barça and one with Real) and one cup(with Barça).
  • 92 European Cup with the Johan Cruyff’s Dream Team in Barcelona.
  • 1 Dutch league and 1 Dutch cup.
  • 2 times best footballer of the season (92 and 93).

In addition to the titles and his elegance, those of us who have seen this soccer prodigy to play remember him for his feints and his passes looking at the stands. Laudrup moved between the lines with the elegance of a swan, but he had the vision and instinct of a hawk.

For the youngest, here is a video in which you can see one of the best players of the 90s.
