MARBELLA FOOTBALL CENTER AND THE TOWN HALL OF ESTEPONA LAY THE FIRST STONE OF THE EXTENSION OF THE NEW PITCHES OF ESTEPONA FOOTBALL CENTER
The CEO of Marbella Football Center, Andrés Roldán, and the Mayor of Estepona, José María García Urbano, laid the first stone of the extension of the new Estepona Football Center pitches in Arroyo Enmedio on Friday 31st March.
As announced at the time of the signing and thanks to this concession, the 2 football pitches managed by MFC until now will be extended to 5 new pitches. In total, MFC will have in the coming months a total of 7 football pitches of different dimensions. An 11-a-side football pitch and a 7-a-side football pitch with natural grass, a 7-a-side football pitch with artificial grass and 4 5-a-side football pitches with artificial grass.
The current changing rooms and auxiliary facilities such as the multi-purpose gymnasium, storeroom and office/reception will also be extended.
Speaking to the media, Andrés Roldán said he was very happy and proud of an expansion that will not only help the Marbella Football Center brand to grow, but that the people of Estepona will be the other major beneficiary of this project, as the Town Hall will be able to use the facilities as well as hosting municipal events. Popular prices will also be established so that all football fans can rent both the natural grass 11-a-side football pitches and the synthetic 7-a-side and 5-a-side football pitches.
Marbella Football Center continues to expand and grow, following the recent opening of La Nucía Football Center in Alicante and Pine Cliffs Football Center in El Algarve (Portugal), a business model that is unique in Spain and Europe and which has proven to be enormously beneficial for all parties involved.
The MFC centres are a great dissemination for the destination, generate a large amount of indirect tourism benefits, deseasonalise the seasons (many teams come during the low hotel season) and represent a new way of business for the municipalities that trust in our brand.
