Logroño returns to the football elite
We want to congratulate the city of Logroño, which has returned to elite football after 20 years without representation of any team in the first or second division. UD Logroñés returns to the silver division of Spanish football after its victory yesterday against CD Castellón.
The match was played at La Rosaleda and ended 1-1, having to reach the penalty shootout to settle the winner. The Valencian team only scored 2 of its five shots, something that UD Logronñes took advantage of.
Now the people from Castellón have another opportunity, having to face the winners of the other heats.

At the Nuevo Mirador de Algeciras Stadium we could see a very similar outcome. CD Badajoz also passed on penalties after a draw to one with Bilbao Athletic.
At the same time at the Ciudad de Málaga Stadium, UD Ibiza was removed from the playoff by UE Cornellá with a 1-2. Marbella FC was also eliminated with a 0-2 against SCR Peña Deportiva.
We wish all the luck to the teams that are still in the fray, may the best team win!
